I would like to say thank you to some very special people who are making my racing career a success.
First my Mom and Dad for all their support and financial help.
Pete Perken, who has been our crew chief the past 2 years, and now retiring in 2011.
Doug Dohr, Painter crew member, and spotter every week. Doug took time off from work to see that the nut and bolt check was done every week to ensure my safety. Doug also kept the car looking great.
Don Hawkens, Crew Member and Body repair. Don took the entire off season to help get the car ready frame up. He was a wiz with all the rewiring, and body hanging, as well as designing and building the entire interior. This guy is a perfectionist.
Cody Deering, Seth and Sean DeCarlo, Cody Deering and Joe Deering are crew members. These are my friends who each week were in the pits with me, doing all the tire and brake temps, fuel calculations and routine maint. They also came to the shop each week to clean the car and do work on the brakes.
The last few weeks we recruited Mike Springstrogh as our new Crew Chief. Mike has agreed to replace Pete Berken as team Crew Chief in 2012. There seems to be a great chemestry working with Mike.
It takes a dedicated group of people to make a team work. For getting in the winners circle twice my rookie year and winning the Red and Blue races in 2011 is outstanding. Driving is the easy part, without everyones help our season would not have been a great experience. Keep and eye on my site for future updates.
