Week 3 started out great. Sawyer tried moving through the pack from 18th in the feature up to 9th on the 9th lap, when Meyerhoffer blew his motor and Sawyer got caught up in the oil and smoke, With no where to go he ran into Meyerhoffer and was unable to continue.

Week 4 the car was not handl very well and after being taken out in the qualifier he was unable to make the feature event.

Week 4 was a rain out

Week 5 the car was back to running great, however after winning the heat race Sawyer said there was a bad vibration from the drive train. After checking the car out it was suspected that there was a problem with the rear end or axle. Sawyer took the green flag in the feature and pulled off the track. Back at the shop we found he had a destroyed clutch.

Week 7 Sawyer started near the back of the feature field. On the second lap Springstrogh spun in turn 2. Sawyer slowed and got hit in the back, spinning him around, slapping the wall with the left front, then coming to rest sideways in the back stretch and was struck hard in the right rear tire. Again the damage damaged the rear clip, and moved the axle, also bending a ball joint. spindle and A-arm.

Week 8 was rained out
Week 9 It would appear after several weeks of bad luck the evening has turned around. Sawyer had great practice times, qualified 3rd, his best position of the year. In his first fast dash he started 4th and finished 5th, saying the car felt great but just got hung out on the outside. In the feature Sawyer started 12, outside row six. He took his time looking for safe opportunities to pass. After several cautions he made it to 9th, then getting slowed just enough to not get wrecked on the back stretch, however on the restert Sawyer said something was scraping in the frontend. Pete called him in the pits on the next caution and changed a flat right front tire. Sawyer restarted last and in the final 9 laps went from 15th to 5th, right behind the leaders. Over all it was a awesome night. Sawyer feels this may be what the team needs to get back on track. look for the race videos on aYouTubedd text.
Week 1. Sawyer's first time on the half mile in a Limited Late Model was awesome. It began with a 9th place qualifying effort. A 8th place start in the 4th heat reslulted in a 2nd place finish. Sawyer needed one more lap to make the pass for 1st. The feature was a 3rd position start. On lap 7 Sawyer took the lead from Jesse VanRoy on a slingshot move coming out of turn 2. A caution flag on lap 9 restarted on the pole. Sawyer was passed by Meyerhoffer and Kelly. Sawyer continued to pressure for the lead. On the final lap in turn 2, meyerhoffer got loose and slowed in front of Sawyer resulting in minor contact, but was enough to turn Meyerhoffers car. The no-contact rule put SAwyer back into a 11th place finish. Overall Sawyer left the first night of racing in 11th place in the points race. Special thanks to the Pit Crew for their awesome job getting the car ready. Afterwards in the pits, Sawyer's car was swarmed by a huge group of fans waiting for autographs. It was the night before Sawyer's birthday, turning 17 tomorrow. Great job Sawyer, and lets look at a Rookie/points championship.

Week 2. After qualifying 11th, Sawyer started in 3rd in the heat race, being boxed in and settling for 6th place. The 20 lap feature found him starting in the 4th position. At the drop of the green he was gone, taking the lead onlap 2 and never looking back. 3 cautions slowed the pace but Sawyer maintained the lead with every restart, at times having a full straight away lead. This was the first feature win for Sawyer on the half mile track, moving him from 11th in points to 4th, 13 points out of 1st. New pictures  below
